Aprilaire TriPure Filters Are Here: UK211, UK411, UK511 Replacement Guide

Aprilaire has officially announced TriPure, its new line of air filters, and it changes which filter you'll buy for an Aprilaire whole-house air purifier. The familiar 4-inch 210, 410 and 510 filters are being replaced by new 3-inch TriPure filters like the UK211, UK411 and UK511. Here's everything you need to know, including a full old-to-new replacement chart.

TriPure replacement chart: which UK filter do I need?

Find the filter number you use now in the first column. The UK kit next to it is its TriPure replacement.

What is Aprilaire TriPure?

TriPure is Aprilaire's new filter technology, announced October 22, 2026. It comes in two forms:

• TriPure 3-inch filters for whole-home air purifiers, in MERV 11 and MERV 13. Aprilaire says the MERV 11 removes up to 92% of household dust, pollen and common allergens, and the MERV 13 up to 95% of dust, mold spores and allergens.
• A TriPure 1-inch filter for standard furnace and air handler filter slots, which Aprilaire says lasts up to 6 months.

According to Aprilaire, the 3-inch filters deliver up to 30% better airflow than leading brands and last up to 12 months.

What does "UK" mean, and what are the upgrade rails?

"UK" stands for upgrade kit. Each UK kit includes a TriPure filter plus a set of rails. Because TriPure filters are thinner than the 4-inch filters they replace, the rails hold the new filter snugly in your existing cabinet.

• The rails clip in, and you only install them once. After that, future TriPure filters slide right in.
• If you already converted your cabinet, extra kits don't require re-installing the rails.

When did the switch start?

Aprilaire made its official announcement on October 22, 2026, and its online shop already lists the 210, 410 and 510 as "sunsetting," with the UK kits as their replacements. One filter retailer reports that the new filters began shipping on September 1, 2026, that the upgrade kits will be bundled with replacement filters for roughly the first 9 to 12 months, and that filter-only replacements will follow for cabinets that have already been converted.

Do I have to switch right now?

Not today. If you still have a 210, 410 or 510 on hand, it will keep working in your purifier. But as the 4-inch filters are phased out, they'll get harder to find, so we recommend switching at your next filter change. That first TriPure change takes a few extra minutes to put the rails in.

What about MERV 16 filters (216, 416, 516)?

Aprilaire's announcement covers MERV 11 and MERV 13 TriPure filters, and its shop doesn't list MERV 16 TriPure kits yet. If you use a 216, 416 or 516 for allergies or asthma, keep using it for now, and ask us about options before your next change.

Frequently asked questions

Is the UK211 the same as the 210?

It replaces it. The UK211 is the TriPure version for the same purifiers that took the 210, and it comes with the upgrade rails needed to fit your cabinet.

Will a TriPure filter fit my Aprilaire 2210 or 2410?

Yes. The 2210 takes the UK211 (or UK213 for MERV 13), and the 2410 takes the UK411 (or UK413).

Do I need a professional to install the upgrade rails?
